Founder & Principal
DCV Applied Technology was founded by David T. Lepley — electrical engineer, entrepreneur, lifelong Second Amendment absolutist. Whether running dynamic courses of fire or stretching out in long-range precision disciplines, David brings a shooter's perspective to the technology created. His work at DCV Applied Technology reflects a conviction that the best technology starts with a deep understanding of how a tool is actually used.
David holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Youngstown State University. He built his career at Altronic, LLC — a Girard, Ohio-based manufacturer of advanced ignition, control, and instrumentation systems for critical infrastructure — rising to serve as President and Chief Technical Officer.
Throughout his career, David collaborated with leading engineering organizations on the development and commercialization of advanced combustion and ignition technologies for large-bore natural gas engines. His technical contributions span industry conference publications and peer-reviewed venues, and have resulted in a portfolio of granted patents and active applications covering ignition system architecture, spark energy control, ion-sensing, spark plug performance, and pre-combustion chamber design.
